Amy is from Northern Ireland and holds a MSc (Merit) in Physiotherapy from Teesside University alongside a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Glasgow. Working in the UK upon qualifying, she worked both in private practice and completed her core rotations in the NHS before her love of sports brought her to Queenstown where she has worked in private practice since 2020.
Amy is a qualified Ski instructor and taught in Whistler for two seasons. She regularly competes in ultra running and mountain biking events, alongside playing Gaelic Football and Ice Hockey with local teams. She is a certified APPI Pilates instructor and enjoys using Pilates with patients to ease pain, decrease injury risk and improve sporting performance. Amy combines this with hands on techniques, strength work and patient education to assist patients in achieving their goals.
