Mrs Phillippa Horne

Mrs Phillippa Horne

Physiotherapist

After 17 years of practice, Phillippa has developed an in depth knowledge of how injuries affect people’s everyday lives, and how effective treatment get them back to doing the things they love to do. She has a strong focus on hands on treatment and looking at the effects of injury on the whole limb. This allows a more functional approach to rehabilitation, and a more fluid progression back to activity. Phillippa began her career in rural north island where she successfully treated a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries. From here she moved to Christchurch where she developed a special interest in headaches and migraines. In 2016 she went over to Australia to train with Dean Watson, where she was taught the Watson Headache Approach to treatment of headaches and migraines. She was impressed by the ability of this approach to specifically isolate the cervical spine segments involved in headaches, and the ability of the techniques to target the cause of the headaches. Phillippa has spent over 3500 hours exclusively treating headache/migraine patients and has developed exceptional skills at both assessment and diagnosis of cervical relevancy to headaches and migraines.
