Teresa has worked as a physiotherapist for over 34 years. She began her career working with high level sports teams including the All Blacks, America’s Cup and NZ cricket. She then joined the Auckland institute of sport where she continued to work with athletes of all levels.
Following this she moved to work with the military and provided physiotherapy services for both Burnham and Waiouru over a 15 year period.
Teresa has worked overseas both in the UK hospital system as well as a brief period as a volunteer physiotherapist in Nepal.
Teresa believes in a holistic approach to treatment. This is helped by her eclectic background including training in acupuncture, homeopathy, Pilates, manual therapy and occupational health. Occupational health experience has allowed her to work with a diverse variety of clients and workplaces to achieve effective return to work goals.
Over the years she has developed a special interest in management of frozen shoulders and post operative hip rehabilitation. She also enjoys treating back and neck issues as well as complex cases including pain and mental wellbeing.
Teresa loves the outdoors, travelling and horse riding. Her personal experience with injury and time off work gives her a deeper understanding of what it is like to be off work.
