Sophie grew up in Christchurch and has always had a strong passion for sport and movement. A keen runner from a young age, she went on to represent New Zealand in age-group triathlon and duathlon, giving her a deep understanding of the physical demands of endurance sport and injury management.
She graduated from the University of Otago in 2021 and has since developed experience working with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries. Sophie has also worked with rugby and football teams in Christchurch, further strengthening her experience in managing acute and sporting injuries. She has a particular interest in lower limb conditions, especially those related to running and athletic performance.
Her approach to physiotherapy is centred around individualised, evidence-based care, helping patients not only recover from injury but return stronger and more confident. She is also trained in dry needling, which she integrates into treatment where appropriate.
Outside of the clinic, Sophie enjoys getting out into the Port Hills, as well as hiking, skiing, and spending time with her golden Labrador, Layla.View details »
