Katie's fascination with the human body and its mechanics inspired her to pursue a career as a physio. She has extensive experience treating a wide variety of conditions, from sports injuries and spinal injuries, to post surgical rehabilitation. Her Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy (2005), and a post graduate certificate (PG Cert) in Western acupuncture have provided her a solid foundation for a career dedicated to enhancing the well-being of her patients. She has a wealth of knowledge around pre and post natal injuries and rehabilitation, and enjoys working with new mums to support them to return to activity safely.
Being a mum of 4 adds a personal layer to her practice. Her involvement with many sports including rugby, netball, basketball and touch, as a player, physio, and supporter, is an example of her depth of understanding of the physical demands of these sports. This hands on experience equips her with valuable insights into injury prevention and rehabilitation specific to athletes.
During the winter months, outside of work hours, Katie is actively involved in her family's sports. She spends many hours on rugby, netball and basketball sidelines, watching the kids play, and trying to fit in a game or 2 herself! In the summertime she loves swimming, hiking, and wakeboarding. I bring both professional experience and a compassionate, caring approach to my massage therapy. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Anatomy and Physiology, which deepens my understanding of the body and how it responds to treatment. Alongside my studies, I’ve been privileged to work with sports teams, providing massage to support injury prevention, recovery, and performance.
With hands-on experience in therapeutic massage, I tailor every treatment to suit your individual needs—whether that’s easing muscle tension, aiding recovery, or simply taking time out to relax. Combining my physiotherapy knowledge with massage, I aim to help clients feel better, move better, and live well. View details »
