Tone is a highly qualified physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Brazil), a Master’s in Physical Education (Sport Rehabilitation), a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy, and a PhD in Health Sciences from AUT in New Zealand. He is a New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist and an ACC Endorsed Provider, with over 10 years of experience working in private practice and sports settings. His background includes working with football clubs in Russia and as an exercise physiologist in New Zealand, bringing a strong foundation in both clinical rehabilitation and performance-based care.
Tone’s areas of expertise include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, concussion rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation, and early intervention and injury prevention. His clinical approach is evidence-based and client-centred, combining rehabilitation exercise, education, and load management to support recovery and optimise performance.
