WHERE AND WHEN QUALIFIED: University College Dublin, Ireland, 2020, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. ADDITONAL QUALIFICATIONS HELD: BSc (Hons) Sports Science WORK EXPERIENCE: Since graduating Gill worked full time in a large rehab hospital treating severe stroke patients and spinal cord injuries which gave her great experience in treatment of neurological conditions. She also did some part time work in a private practice where she worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. She has a particular interest in musculoskeletal and sports injuries and enjoy getting people out of pain and back partaking in all the activities and hobbies that they enjoy. Gill has just moved over to Auckland from Ireland I is really excited to work with the northwest team along with the Massey Rugby club. HOBBIES AND INTERESTS: Outside of work, I like to keep fit and active and try to remain a regular at the gym. I also love watching most sports especially Rugby. ADDITONAL QUALIFICATIONS HELD: STOTT Pilates instructor, Qualified in Dry Needling WORK EXPERIENCE: After graduating, Róisín worked full time in a private clinic that specialised in sports injuries as well as functional training for the general population. She completed personal training for both groups and individuals, and taught Pilates classes. She uses a combination of manual therapy and dry needling to compliment exercise in treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. With experience of working with clients of all ages and abilities, from weekend warriors to high level athletes, Róisín is fully committed to getting clients back to their best using the most appropriate and up to date treatments. She has worked with many sports teams in Ireland including Gaelic sports of football and hurling, hockey, soccer and rugby. She has really enjoyed her first year working with Massey Rugby Club . She is also interested in treating aches and pains in non-athletes such as back, shoulder and knee pain, to help them become pain free and return to full function. HOBBIES AND INTERESTS: Róisín has played a variety of sports and experienced many injuries, so whatever your sport so she will have first-hand knowledge of your injury and desire to return to play. ADDITONAL QUALIFICATIONS HELD: - BSc (Hons) Sports Management - Postgraduate MSc Module – Neuro musculoskeletal physiotherapy for the lower quadrant - Foundation Acupuncture WORK EXPERIENCE: After graduating Tom worked in the NHS completing his junior rotations before taking on more senior roles in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic post-surgical settings. Within these roles he also gained experience in chronic pain management and women’s health. Additionally, Tom has worked in private practice, semi-pro rugby, and pro soccer with the Academy at Norwich City Football Club. He moved out to NZ and joined ProActive in January 2018 after spending 3 years with the Royal Air Force in the UK, working with acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and sports injuries. In addition, he provided physiotherapy and strength and conditioning for the Royal Air Force snowboard team both in the UK and at overseas training camps and competitions. Currently Tom is the Prem 1’s physio for Massey Rugby Club alongside his role leading the team at our Northwest Auckland clinic. Tom gets great satisfaction in helping people to get over injuries and back into things they enjoy doing! HOBBIES AND INTERESTS: Tom enjoys being active and keeping himself fit. He is a keen surfer and will regularly sneak in a pre or post work surf. He also loves to snowboard and enjoys taking off to go hiking around the mountains.
