WHERE AND WHEN QUALIFIED: Auckland University of Technology, BHSc Physiotherapy, NZ, 2018. WORK EXPERIENCE: Fanaye graduated from AUT in 2018 and has almost 2 years’ experience as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. She recently started her career with ProActive at our North West clinic this September and has fitted in well with the team. Prior to working with us, Fanaye has worked with rugby league teams which has meant she has developed a sound knowledge of acute sports injuries and. In addition, she has experience delivering pre and post-operative rehabilitation for acute and chronic injuries. Fanaye also has experience with conducting pre-employment assessments, inclusive of drug and alcohol screening, as well as visual and audio screening assessments. As a student, she has had spent some time working alongside neurological physiotherapists, more specifically stroke rehabilitation. This developed Fanaye’s understanding of the importance socio-cultural and familial/whanau when approaching a clients’ rehabilitation. Fanaye believes that a clients’ socio-cultural history is a key determinant in an individual’s view of they’re of health and wellbeing and will ensure this is considered in all of her treatment plans. HOBBIES AND INTERESTS: Fanaye is a certified “foodie” and enjoys hunting for restaurants to trial the next best meal. ADDITONAL QUALIFICATIONS HELD: - BSc (Hons) Sports Management - Postgraduate MSc Module – Neuro musculoskeletal physiotherapy for the lower quadrant - Foundation Acupuncture WORK EXPERIENCE: After graduating Tom worked in the NHS completing his junior rotations before taking on more senior roles in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic post-surgical settings. Within these roles he also gained experience in chronic pain management and women’s health. Additionally, Tom has worked in private practice, semi-pro rugby, and pro soccer with the Academy at Norwich City Football Club. He moved out to NZ and joined ProActive in January 2018 after spending 3 years with the Royal Air Force in the UK, working with acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and sports injuries. In addition, he provided physiotherapy and strength and conditioning for the Royal Air Force snowboard team both in the UK and at overseas training camps and competitions. Currently Tom is the Prem 1’s physio for Massey Rugby Club alongside his role leading the team at our Northwest Auckland clinic. Tom gets great satisfaction in helping people to get over injuries and back into things they enjoy doing! HOBBIES AND INTERESTS: Tom enjoys being active and keeping himself fit. He is a keen surfer and will regularly sneak in a pre or post work surf. He also loves to snowboard and enjoys taking off to go hiking around the mountains. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor Sport and Recreation, Major in Physical Education - Level 1 Brain Injury Support Certificate WORK EXPERIENCE: Hannah started her career with ProActive at our North West clinic after graduating 18months ago. Hannah has developed very quickly into an excellent clinician and has a passion for musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries and enjoys interacting with clients and helping them to achieve their treatment goals. During her studies Hannah gained experience in a variety of clinical areas including MSK and sports injuries, pre and post-surgery rehabilitation, elderly care, neurological rehabilitation where she gained experience with Riding for the Disabled, and Hydrotherapy. While studying Hannah also worked with young children teaching them to swim and worked in a specialist shoe store helping to fit footwear. This has helped Hannah gain knowledge around the biomechanics of swimming and foot ankle movement while running/walking. Since joining ProActive, Hannah been working in NorthWest Auckland clinic treating a range of MSK and sports injuries. In addition, Hannah has led our physiotherapy service for Dance 24/7 helping them to be successful at national and international competitions. Furthermore, Hannah also runs a school-based clinic for us at Lynfield College 3 days week. HOBBIE AND INTERESTS: Hannah enjoys being active both in the gym and out completing bush walks.
