Kirsty graduated in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh in 2006. Since qualifying she gained extensive Physiotherapy experience in the UK including working as a Team Lead Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for a large private healthcare company in Edinburgh. Kirsty’s elite Sports Physiotherapy experience in the UK included working at the 2012 Olympics in London, 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and working for 4 seasons within Premier 1 Division Rugby in Edinburgh. Kirsty relocated to NZ in 2018 with her Kiwi husband and has enjoyed working at re:ab ever since. Kirsty is an APPI Certified Pilates Matwork Instructor and has trained in Reformer Pilates with Polestar in NZ. She has almost 15 years of Pilates teaching experience in both the UK and NZ. Since moving to NZ Kirsty has become a Mum to 2 active young boys and with this has become increasingly passionate about ante and post- natal rehabilitation and helping new mums and mums to be stay strong and healthy during pregnancy and beyond. She loves teaching ante and post-natal Pilates and sharing this knowledge and experience in class. With all her clients Kirsty enjoys combining her Pilates and rehab experience with her “hands on” Physio skills to facilitate recovery, optimise performance and reduce the risk of re- injury.
