Massage Therapist

Karen has a varied and extensive 25 year career in sports massage that includes both human and equine specialist massage therapy. She was both horse and rider massage therapist for New Zealand's first ever World Championship Gold Medal in the sport of endurance riding in 1998 and then again at the 2000 Sydney Olympics with New Zealand's sole representative Dressage rider. Since then she has continued with massage therapy, alongside working for Air New Zealand, running a busy equestrian based property, and continuing to ride and compete herself alongside her husband and daughter. Her unique mix of skills, training and and experience, as well as continuing to ride and compete, gives her a unique insight into patient needs and therapies. Jens is originally from Germany, but studied Chiropractic in Auckland at the world-renowned New Zealand College of Chiropractic (NZCC). Since graduating, he is grateful to have worked with many individuals and families to improve and enhance their function, health and wellbeing through chiropractic care. Aside from practice Jens is involved in Chiropractic Research at the Centre for Chiropractic Research as well as lecturing at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. In recognition of his contribution to the Chiropractic College Jens was awarded the NZAPEP – Student of the Year Award in 2013.
