Kasey was born and raised in Wellington before she moved to study in Auckland. She graduated from AUT in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in health science physiotherapy.
While in Auckland she spent five years working sideline as a sports assistant/physiotherapist for the Ellerslie women's premier and reserves football teams, before moving back home to work with the Wellington Phoenix in their academy space, which is a position she does in conjunction with working at Wellington Sports Med. She has a passion for all sports, having played a variety in her youth at different competitive levels, though football has also held her heart. She has also worked with the New Zealand Secondary schools football and done international tournament travel working as a physio. Aside from working in the sporting space, Kasey has spent her working career in private practice and uses her previous qualifications in therapeutic and sports massage, along with skills in manual therapy and exercise prescription to create a holistic environment focusing on achieving goals. After qualifying she went on to do rotations within the NHS in inpatient and outpatient departments where she learnt a variety of skills and developed her Physiotherapy knowledge treating both acute and chronic conditions. Her most recent rotation was MSK outpatients and orthopaedics. Sophie is dedicated to making her treatment personalised to the individual and ensures that her approach is client-centred. Sophie uses a variety of techniques including exercise prescription, manual therapy, education and advice and also utilises her sports massage diploma to achieve the client’s desired fitness and health goals. Vijay is a Physiotherapist with a Physical Education and Physiology degree, with 20 years of experience he is passionate about giving people the tools to self-manage at school, work, home or in the sporting environment.
